What Does A School Picnic Near Delhi NCR Include?
Every activity at Pratapgarh Farms is open to your school group, and every one is included in the day. Your students move between them at their own pace and choose what to do next. A group that wants the adventure course and a group that wants the craft yard can both have their morning.
The adventure course runs beside the playing fields: the Burma Bridge, the Double Rope Bridge, the Swinging Burma Bridge, the Commando Net, the Zipline, Sky Cycling, the Tarzan Jump, Water Zorbing and Body Zorbing. On the fields, cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, mini golf, the bowling alley and Zapminton sit alongside Gulli-Danda, Pithoo, the Sack Race, the Lemon Spoon Race and the Matka Race.
The Army Museum holds the MiG-21 Display, the Missile Display, the Artillery Gun Display, the LMG Tent and the Anti-Terror Operation Display. The House of Illusion adds the Clone Table, the Beuchet Chair, the Ames Room and the Human Kaleidoscope, and the Haunted House and the Mirror Maze are part of the same afternoon.
The carnival keeps the Ferris Wheel, the Frog Ride, the Dragon Caterpillar Ride and the Bungee Basket moving, and the Toy Train Ride runs along the lawn. The Camel Ride, the Camel Cart, the Bullock Cart and the Tractor Ride cross the farm.
The craft yard has Pottery, Charkha Weaving, Handloom Weaving, Pitloom, Pagdhi Tying and Mehendi. The Puppet Show, the Magic Show and the Bioscope are part of the day, and the Rain Dance and Boating on the lake are open through it.
The animal farm has the Rabbitry, the Poultry Farm, the Emus, the Goat & Sheep Farm and the Vedic Gau Gram, where students feed the cows. The Children’s Play Park holds the Monkey Bars, Swings, Slides, Spring Riders, Spinners and See-Saws. The indoor floor runs the Pool Table, Air Hockey, Foosball, Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, Jenga and Cricket Darts, and the shooting range has Archery, Air Gun Shooting, Gulel Shooting and Darts. Lattoo, Kanche Goli, Tug of War and Matki Phod are part of the day as well.
What Will They Eat?
Unlimited food is part of the school day, from the first chai to the last jalebi. Breakfast, the Mazedar Nashta, runs 09:30–12:00: stuffed paranthas with white farm-fresh Makhan, Poori Chole or Chole Bhature, Aloo or Pethe ki Sabji, Dahi, Achaar and Chatni. Lunch, the Dopahar Ka Shahi Khanna, runs 13:30–15:30: Missi, Tawa or Tandoori Roti, Vegetable Poolao or Jeera Rice, Rajma, Sarson Ka Saag or the seasonal vegetable, Paneer Shahi, Kadhi, Dahi or Raita, Makhan, Suji ka Halwa or Gajar Ka Halwa, Papad, Chatni, Achar, Jaggery and Green Salad. Both are unlimited.
Between them, the Sara Din counters stay open: Neembu Shikanjee, Chacch, Tea and Pakoras, Kadhai doodh, Jalebi, Makee Bajre ki roti with desi Ghee, Gur and Lahsoon ki Chatni, Bajre Ki Khichri with Ghee Bura, Gul Gule, Chila, Ganne and Mullee straight from the field. The Chatpate Din counter serves Pani Puri, Dahi Puri Chaat Papdi, Dahi Bhalle and Bhel Puri, and the Meethe Meethe Pal counter has Gulab Jamun and Rasgulla.

How Does The School Day Run?
A school day at Pratapgarh Farms has two fixed points: breakfast between 09:30 and 12:00, and lunch between 13:30 and 15:30. Everything else is free-flow. Your teachers and students move through the farm at their own pace, and every activity is open all day.
Arrive by 09:30 and the morning is the adventure course and the playing fields, with breakfast on the way. Lunch sits in the middle of the afternoon, and the carnival, the museum, the village and the water activities fill the rest of the day. What Will They Learn?
Learning at Pratapgarh Farms is done by hand, in the place it happens. Your students churn ghee and butter from milk at the Vedic Gau Gram, milk the cows, and see the Biogas Plant and the Vermicomposting Plant at work. They sow seed in the vegetable garden, watch the bullocks plough, and try reaping, winnowing, pounding grain and grinding grains.
The craft yard teaches Pottery, Charkha Weaving, Handloom Weaving and Pitloom, and the Terracotta of India Display Gallery shows what the potter’s wheel produces. The Farmers Heritage Museum and the Haryana Occupations Museum hold the tools and trades of the villages around Jhajjar.
The gardens are a lesson of their own: 150 species of trees across the Nakshtra Vatika, Rashi Vatika, Navgraha Vatika, Triphala Kunj, Panchvati, Bodh Vatika, Aushadh Vatika and Guru ke Bagh, with the Ramayana Heritage Wall, the Sita Kuti, the Hanuman Ji Temple and the Shiv Ji Temple along the same walk.
Who Looks After The Students?
Pratapgarh Farms’ security personnel, activity facilitators and service staff are drawn from ex-army personnel, and they stay with the group through the day. A first aid box is on site, and the district hospital and private medical care are within 4 km. The campus runs on 100% power backup from silent gensets, and the kitchen cooks and serves in RO water.
Facilitators accompany your students on the dairy activities, the tractor rides and the bullock cart rides, and every game and activity comes with its equipment.

Notes - General
- We provide a well enclosed parking with gates. Parking is free of charge at owners Risk.
- Accompanying drivers / transport staff will be provided separate relaxing space and can be served meals @ Rs 150/- per person. We regret that accompanying drivers / transport staff will not be permitted to enter the campus and indulge in activities. If you so desire they can be allowed inside on payment of full package charges.
- We are open on all days.
- We provide all equipment for games, sports, entertainment etc. We will not permit you to carry your equipment for playing inside the campus.
- There is no required minimum number of families or people. We have all in house facilities, therefore we do not restrict on minimum numbers or groups.
- We do not allow stag entry. We permit entry only to families, groups through school, colleges, corporate entities and association.
- Unaccompanied children are not permitted.
- Any one person from the group will need to carry a Photo Identity card.
- You are responsible for your own belongings. We shall not be responsible for loss or damage.
- Prior booking is necessary as we permit entry to limited number of guests per day. For groups less than 20 people registration is possible on phone and you pay on arrival. For bigger groups non refundable advance of 25% shall be payable. Balance is payable on arrival at site.
Rules and Advice for your convenience and safety
- It is best to dress up in casuals; very especially sports shoes are convenient for rides, games and adventure activities. Very loose or hanging clothes or very tight dresses should be avoided.
- Guests who wish to enjoy Mud bath and Tube well bath may carry their change and towels and appropriate bathing dresses. Bathing for gentlemen in short underwear is not permitted.
- Guests are not be permitted drive tractors or carts. Any one attempting to do so will be liable for any damages or consequence as a result of the same.
- Please do not point Airguns, Arrows, Gulels or Darts at each other or at animals or remove them from the respective venues.
- Guests are not permitted pluck and / or put leaves / flowers and fruits grown on the farm in their mouth / or eyes as some of them although used as medicinal plants can be toxic.
- Please do not to run behind / around domestic animals. Farm animals are emotionally sensitive and respond to love, care and respect. Poking sticks, shouting around farm animals, running behind or trying to feed them can evoke potentially dangerous responses from animals. While doing dairy activities or rides our facilitators will accompany the guests and we request that their instructions be followed.
- While we try and ensure smooth rides while doing agricultural activities or tractor rides please do not jump or board on a moving vehicle to avoid being thrown off. They may seem slow moving but they are prone to jerky movements.
- We request your patience in listening to our facilitators and following their instruction during rides and activities. Most them would speak Hindi but with rural accent typical of the area.
- Please do not enter adjoining fields as they are privately owned. Consumption of alcohol or obscenity in any form will evoke strong objection by farmers and the local community.
- Any medical conditions requiring care should be informed in advance.
