A unique holiday experience comes alive at this charming Ethnic Holiday village and Farm Tourism Destination – set in the backdrop of lush green fields and whispering winds. Its mud huts, serene pond, jumping sprinklers, lively cattle barns – full of goats, sheep, cows, buffaloes, camels, poultry farms – full of ducks, fowls, chickens, haughty roosters and soaring pigeons – gently awaken you in a different world of co-existence with Nature. The music of tinkling bells in the necklace worn by the cows, breaths of fresh air and weaver bird watching you out of its magnificent nest – provide a real rural ambience and backdrop to your outing – like you have never experienced before.

Go Green with our world of Trees –

Pratapgarh Farms is a veritable Botanical garden with 150 different species of trees and plants species. Gardens are laid out in fascinating formats. Panchvati, the abode of Lord Rama has five trees representing the Panchboots, fertility and life. Triveni is a wonder where huge Banyan, Bodhi and Neem trees grow together. Triphla kunj has three magic medicinal trees – Awala, Harad and Baheda, Nakshatra Van has 27 trees in Nakshatra corresponding to each Nakshatra (Band in the skies), Rashi vatika with 12 trees corresponding to the Zodiac Signs and Navgrah Vatika with 9 plants corresponding to the heavenly bodies influencing humans in Indian astrology. Meet the medicinal plants – Aloe vera, Ashavagandha (Indian ginseng), Giloy (Amritvalli) and 7 varieties of Tulsi (basil) and many more in our Aushadh Vatika. Sensitize yourself to the magic and magnanimity of nature. Nursery walk has 30 Green Houses taking you through world of Ficus, Palms, Cactus and other potted plants.

Indulge yourself in Ethnic games – Gulee danda, Pethoo, Lattoo, Kanche goli, Gulel (sling) shooting, Dart shooting, Archery, Tug of war, Hop skotch or Kabbadi and Kushti. Pick up a colorful kite and let it talk to the blue skies – give wings to your imagination. Our team of ten Camels including Sahiba, Saheli, Bipasa, Desert fox and Flying fox and their friends, Bullocks Heera, Moti, Gora and Badal in their beautiful royal attires and last but not the least our Tractors – Dara and Balwan- take you out for royal rides in our sprawling fields.

Relax your Body and Soul

When you are tired, get a head massage from the Village masseur and take a true mud bath and when the mud has dried on you, bathe yourself under the gushing waters of tube well and discover the glow on your body. Enjoy the swings and slides and laze around or snooze on the cots.

Join us and be a farmer –

Participate in agricultural, gardening and dairy activities with the amiable Pratapgarh Farm workers drawn from local populace. Plough a field with camels, bulls or tractors – sow the seeds, reap and winnow (depending on season). Visit our vegetable garden. Get a whiff of various crops growing in the farm. Watch how we can prevent poisoning of our surroundings with pesticides and insecticides and degrading our environment with biogas plant, farm yard manuring and vermi-composting.

Culture &Creativity is in the Air –

Sit with our village potter to make beautiful terracotta bowls, and lamps. Weave a thread on the Charkha with local womenfolk or weave a shawl on the handloom. You have a choice of rural activities to make it a memorable experience cooking, pounding grain, grinding Atta (flour), making ghee and buttermilk or simply balancing water pail on your head like true Haryanvi womenfolk. Witness the romantic tales of puppets woven by our consummate puppeteers.

Invoke your adventurous Streak. Hardworking farmers of Haryana have established a strong reputation for themselves as brave soldiers in the battlefields. We have dedicated our Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan adventure terrain to them.

A family that plays together stays together. Create that special memory with your son, daughter, grandson, friend or colleague over a game of Table Tennis, Badminton, Volleyball, Soccer, Cricket, Trampolines, simply lounge with a game carom, chess, simple saamp-seedhi and Ludo. Your group could enjoy Tambola, Musical Chairs, lemon, spoon and three legged and sack races.

The Farm provides enabling environment for relaxed interactions and is a fertile ground for team building through team building games – spiders’s web, building paper bridges, towers, minefields and trust games. Some team building games will be available in the farm activities format.

Unlimited food through-out the day – Freshly cooked and lovingly served

Throughout the day, we serve you delightful vegetarian cuisine from Haryana Rajasthan and Punjab including breakfast and Lunch. Chakki Fresh Atta (freshly ground flour from the best local grain, farm fresh vegetables; combined with local favourites – Makhan (white butter), Chacch (butter milk), Desi Ghee (clarified butter) and selected Masalas (spices) produce a treat of fresh flavour and uniquely different taste – a culinary experience you would like to savour for a long time. Pratapgarh Farms sources its milk and milk products from its own Dairy of Desi Cows and world famous Murra Buffaloes. Enjoy our traditional Bajre ki roti, Khichdi, Ghee Gur Chattni, gulgule, Churma right next to the Chullah (earthen hearths) lovingly cooked by rural women.

Within National Capital Region but Far from the Maddening Crowds.

Pratapgarh Farms is located in close proximity to Delhi and within the National Capital Region. A 1-2 hours drive from Delhi brings you to this quiet and scenic rural neighbourhood. The farm is located within 4 kms from the district headquarter town of Jhajjar which is the immediate neighbouring district of Delhi in North West of Delhi and immediate neighbouring district of Gurgaon towards the North. Famous Bhindawas bird sanctuary is situated within 15 kms of Pratapgarh Farms. Area around Pratapgarh Farms is home to many local and migratory birds.

Pratapgarh Farms has been duly approved and registered by the Department of Tourism Government of Haryana, ensuring you of a very comfortable visit in secure, safe and hygienic surroundings.

The Farmer Entrepreneur

The entrepreneur farmer is native of the place and has spent 2O years as a management professional out of which 12 years have been as CEO of an international development organization. He is widely travelled within and outside the country. For last several years he has been nominated to be member of National Committee on Tourism of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Encouraged by the Farm tourism Policy of the State of Haryana, he established this authentic farm tourism destination on his ancestral farmland.
