Pratapgarh Farms is where a family spends a whole day together — three generations, one car, one gate — on 35 acres of farm tourism, the biggest and best in Delhi NCR, on highway-connected roads the whole way.

Pratapgarh Farms has been welcoming families since 2008 as one of the first farm destinations in the country, with the approval of the Department of Tourism, Government of Haryana from that very first year. What a family gets is scale: 150+ activities, a dairy, a village yard, gardens, a lake and an unlimited kitchen, all inside one gate.

The Day Begins At The Gate

Gates open at 09:30 and the day runs to 17:30, and the welcome begins before the first activity — a tilak, a garland and a folk troupe at the entrance.

Breakfast runs 09:30–12:00: Stuffed Paranthas with white farm fresh Makhan, Poori Chole or Chole Bhature, Aloo or Pethe ki Sabji, Dahi, Achaar and Chatni. The Sara Din counters stay open through the day — Kadhai doodh, Chacch, Neembu Shikanjee and Tea with Pakoras.

Mid-Morning Belongs To The Adventure Course

This is where the children disappear to and the parents follow. The ropes and bridges: Swinging Burma Bridge, Double Rope Bridge, Inverted A Rope Bridge, Commando Net, Commando Net Wall Traverse. The tyres: Tyre Tunnel, Tyre Wall Traverse, Hanging Tyre Traverse, Tyre Balance Bridge. Then the Tarzan Jump, Battle Rope, Wood Wall Traverse, Swinging Plank, Swinging Squares, Swinging Timber Log, V Bridge, Zig Zag Walk, Cat Walk and Elephant Walk.

The two ziplines — Zipline and Flying Disc Zipline — open the sky set with Sky Cycling, Sky Roller and Sky Skating, and the Happy Hopper, Tyre Hopping and Double Block Swing for whoever is still standing.

Water Zorbing, Body Zorbing And The Rain Dance

Water Zorbing and Body Zorbing roll on the water, Boating takes the family out on it, and the Rain Dance starts in the afternoon with the Tubewell Bath and the Mud Bath beside it. Pack a spare set of clothes and a towel, and let them finish the day wet.

The Farm Half: Cows, Ghee, Craft And The Gardens

Half of Pratapgarh Farms is farm, and the day is built so the family walks through it. At the Vedic Gau Gram the family feeds the desi cows and buffaloes beside Gopal Ji Temple and joins the Havan; at the dairy the family makes Ghee and Butter from Milk with their own hands.

In the village yard: Charkha Weaving, Handloom Weaving, Pitloom, Pagdhi Tying, Peedha Making, Pounding Grain, Grinding Grains and Pottery, with the Been-Dholki-Nagada Dance over all of it.

The farm’s own work is there to walk through — Ploughing, Sowing, Reaping, Winnowing, the Vermicomposting Plant, the Biogas Plant, the Rabbitry, the Poultry Farm, the Goat & Sheep Farm, the Vegetable Garden and the Flower Garden — and the Farmers Heritage Museum, the Haryana Occupations Museum and the Terracotta of India Display Gallery hold the village’s tools and its craft.

The garden walk is the slow hour of the day: 150 species of trees, with Nakshtra Vatika, Aushadh Vatika, Triphala Kunj and Panchvati among them.

Lunch At 13:30, And Unlimited Food All Day

Dopahar Ka Shahi Khanna is served 13:30–15:30, and the kitchen stays open around it: Missi, Tawa and Tandoori Roti with Sarson Ka Saag or the seasonal vegetable, Rajma, Paneer Shahi, Kadhi, Vegetable Poolao or Jeera Rice, Dahi or Raita, Makhan, Papad, Achaar, Chatni, Green Salad and Jaggery, with Suji ka Halwa or Gajar Ka Halwa to finish.
